The writers, actors and director keep your smile intact in the first half of the film. There are many rib tickling scenes in this track. The first half of this movie is totally hilarious and highly entertaining. The story is different and has been presented in a breezy manner. Gattu's father and Binny's brother misunderstand Gattu's best friend (Herry Tangri) as Binny's lover which leads to total chaos. But, before Gattu and Binny could share about this to their respective families.

After a series of tests, Binny agrees to Gattu's proposal. One fine day Gattu expresses his feelings to Binny. At the same time Binny's elder brother Jairam (Ninad Kamat) and all other family member's treat Gattu as Binny's additional brother. Sadly, Gattu's father (Darshan Jariwala) believes that every girl from their area is like Gattu's sister. 'Behen Hogi Teri' is a story of Gattu (Rajkummar Rao), who right since his childhood is head over heels in love with his neighbor Binny (Shruti Hassan). Though, the marketing of the film is weak and lacks the crowd pulling factor. Thus, the first trailer of 'Behen Hogi Teri' manages to create the right impact and expectation level. If audience love those loud slapstick comedies, there are audience who love simple and clean comedies. While, most of them overdo it, there are some which manage to present it in a subtle manner. YouвЂ™d wish the makers had trimmed its flabby bits there was potential here.Comedy is one such genre which has been ventured by many directors. IвЂ™m going with two out of five for Behen Hogi Teri. He has impeccable comic timing too вЂ“ just watch him in the scene where he must give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to BinnyвЂ™s grandmother, or where he consoles his humiliated buddy whoвЂ™s just been slapped by BinnyвЂ™s brother.

Rajkummar Rao grabs your attention, even in scenes where he has no lines to speak. ItвЂ™s hard to see why Gattu is so besotted by her.Д«ut if you must, watch Behen Hogi Teri as proof of the fact that solid actors can sometimes elevate ordinary material. DoesnвЂ™t help that Shruti Haasan comes off stilted. SheвЂ™s supposed to be the neighborhoodpatakha, but Binny is impenetrable and occasionally off-putting. A big part of the problem is Binny: both the character and the casting. The laughs are now few and far between, and the screenplay takes forever to come to the point. The plot, which starts off on a curious note becomes especially convoluted in its second hour. Where the film slips up is in its writing. Rao imbues Gattu with an innocence and simplicity that feels authentic despite his machinations.

But heвЂ™s clever, slipping out of tangled situations, manipulating others with his innocent ways. HeвЂ™s an unlikely hero a drifter who floats through life, his only purpose to claim Binny. The filmвЂ™s supporting cast does a swell job too, particularly Ranjeet and Gulshan Grover as neighborhood goondas who become embroiled in the story, and Herry Tangiri who plays GattuвЂ™s cheeky best friend Bhura.Д®xpectedly the filmвЂ™s biggest strength is leading man Rajkummar Rao who plays Gattu with real feeling. What works, charmingly, is the real, lived-in flavor of Lucknow, complete with nosy neighbors, bickering parents, and dialogues that evoke genuine chuckles. The film, directed by debutant Ajay Pannalal, is a romantic comedy that arises from the unenviable situation that Gattu finds himself in вЂ“ watching the girl of his dreams get engaged to another man because he canвЂ™t seem to declare his love for her.
